Secret documents of Vice President Biden found

Budrigannews.com – A White House lawyer said on Monday that classified documents from Joe Biden’s time as vice president were discovered in November by the president’s personal attorneys at a Washington think tank.
CBS News reported earlier that Biden’s office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement contained nearly ten documents. The report also stated that U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland had requested that the U.S. attorney in Chicago examine the classified documents that had been given to the National Archives.
According to a statement released on Monday by Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president, the classified information was discovered by Biden’s personal attorneys on November 2, a few days prior to the midterm elections.
From the middle of 2017 until the beginning of his campaign for president in 2020, Biden had used that office space on a regular basis. According to Sauber, the White House Counsel’s Office notified the National Archives on the day that those documents were discovered, and the National Archives took possession of the material the following morning.
Additionally, Sauber stated that the National Archives had not previously requested or inquired about the documents.
According to Sauber, Biden’s personal attorneys “were packing files housed in a locked closet to prepare to vacate office space at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C.,” when the documents were discovered. He added that the Justice Department and the National Archives were working together with the White House.
A request for clarification was not received from the think tank, the National Archives, or the Justice Department. From 2009 to 2017, Biden served as President Obama’s vice president.
The number of classified documents, their content, or classification level were not mentioned in Sauber’s statement. According to CBS News, they lacked nuclear secrets.
In a statement, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, Representative Jamie Raskin, said that Biden’s lawyers “appear to have taken immediate and proper action” after discovering the documents. “Make an impartial decision about any further action that may be required,” Raskin stated, expressing confidence in Garland.
The handling of highly sensitive classified documents that former President Donald Trump kept at his Florida resort after leaving the White House in January 2021 is the subject of separate investigation by the Justice Department.

On August 8, agents from the FBI conducted a court-approved search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. Among the thousands of records seized, there were about 100 classified documents.
“When will the FBI conduct a search of Joe Biden’s numerous residences, possibly even the White House? “These documents were absolutely not declassified,” Trump stated in a post that he made late on Monday on his Truth Social platform.
