Saudi Arabia’s Q3 GDP grows estimated 2.8% y/y

ABU DHABI (Reuters) – Saudi Arabia’s economy grew 2.8% in the third quarter year-on-year, preliminary government data showed on Thursday, supported by an increase in non-oil activities.
Non-oil growth rose 4.2% in the third quarter from the prior year period, and government activities increased 3.1%, while growth in the oil sector was almost flat at 0.3%, according to data released by the General Authority for Statistics.
On a quarterly basis, real GDP grew by 0.8% in the third quarter, the statistics authority said.
