Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Sunday

Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Building & Construction, Media & Publishing and Insurance sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.51%.

The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8311), which rose 9.91% or 1.74 points to trade at 19.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8280) added 5.06% or 0.90 points to end at 18.70 and Arabian Centres Co (TADAWUL:4321) was up 4.95% or 0.96 points to 20.34 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Al Etihad Cooperative Insurance Co SJSC (TADAWUL:8170), which fell 12.84% or 2.24 points to trade at 15.20 at the close. Wafrah for Industry and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:2100) declined 6.82% or 2.60 points to end at 35.50 and Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4130) was down 6.04% or 0.96 points to 14.94.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 151 to 82 and 8 ended unchanged.

Shares in Wafrah for Industry and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:2100) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.82% or 2.60 to 35.50.

Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.55% or 2.70 to $108.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.25% or 2.45 to hit $111.48 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 5.60 to trade at $1,812.90 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.52% to 3.91, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 104.88.
