Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the fell 0.72% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the were Astra Industrial Group (TADAWUL:), which rose 6.12% or 3.40 points to trade at 59.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Public Transport Co. (TADAWUL:) added 6.00% or 1.00 points to end at 17.68 and Thimar Development Holding Co (TADAWUL:) was up 5.31% or 1.85 points to 36.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Herfy Food Services Co (TADAWUL:), which fell 6.71% or 2.30 points to trade at 32.00 at the close. Al Kathiri Holding Co (TADAWUL:) declined 5.54% or 2.55 points to end at 43.45 and Yanbu Cement Co. (TADAWUL:) was down 5.28% or 1.80 points to 32.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 183 to 68 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Herfy Food Services Co (TADAWUL:) fell to 5-year lows; down 6.71% or 2.30 to 32.00. Shares in Thimar Development Holding Co (TADAWUL:) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.31% or 1.85 to 36.70.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.10% or 1.42 to $66.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.83% or 1.35 to hit $72.34 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.80 to trade at $1,933.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.26% to 3.98, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 104.10.
