Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the rose 0.58% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the were CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:), which rose 10.00% or 2.50 points to trade at 27.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (TADAWUL:) added 9.97% or 6.00 points to end at 66.20 and Red Sea Housing Services Company (TADAWUL:) was up 6.33% or 1.50 points to 25.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:), which fell 7.14% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.13 at the close. Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (TADAWUL:) declined 3.89% or 2.40 points to end at 59.30 and Al Masane Al Kobra Mining Company CJSC (TADAWUL:) was down 3.29% or 1.90 points to 55.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 169 to 107 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:) rose to 52-week highs; up 10.00% or 2.50 to 27.50. Shares in Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (TADAWUL:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.97% or 6.00 to 66.20.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.61% or 0.44 to $71.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.10% or 0.08 to hit $77.07 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 11.70 to trade at $2,071.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.36% to 4.15, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 101.06.
