Samsung SDI signs deal with GM for its joint EV battery factory in US

SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korea’s Samsung (KS:) SDI said on Wednesday it has signed an agreement with General Motors (NYSE:) for its joint electric vehicle (EV) battery factory in the United States.

Samsung SDI said in a regulatory filing the investment size for the joint factory stands at 2.29 trillion won ($1.73 billion).
