Budrigannews.com – Sam “SBF” Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of FTX, is reportedly on his way to the airport, where he will be handed over to U.S. authorities and flown to New York. He has been held in custody by authorities in the Bahamas.
Following his third appearance in the Bahamas Magistrate Court since his arrest on December 21, Bankman-Fried reportedly waived his right to a formal extradition procedure that could have taken weeks.
According to reports, people from the U.S. Embassy, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the U.S. Marshals Service were there to help Bankman-Fried hand over the documents he had signed on Dec. 20. Following the hearing, he was removed from the Nassau courtroom by vehicle.
Bankman-Fried “will depart The Bahamas for the United States tonight,” according to a subsequent statement from The Bahamas Attorney General Ryan Pinder.

Reuters announced that SBF’s lawful group said the previous President was “restless to leave” the Bahamas. Jerome Roberts, who is in Bankman-Broiled’s legitimate group, purportedly heard SBF say on Dec. 19 that his choice was driven by caring about “to put the clients right.” More than 1 million banks from FTX have not approached their assets for a really long time.

On December 12, Bankman-Fried was taken into custody by officials in the Bahamas as part of extradition proceedings with the United States. The United States accuses Bankman-Fried of defrauding investors and lenders and has filed complaints with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to SBF’s acquiescence on Nov. 11, FTX and related people purportedly disregarded crusade finance regulations with “dull cash” gifts and utilized client resources for store speculations at Alameda Exploration.

The former CEO has been held in the Bahamas’ Fox Hill Prison for more than a week since being denied bail.
