Sam Bankman-Fried, Emergent Fidelity Amass 7.6% Stake in Robinhood (HOOD)
A 13D filing after the close on beaten-down brokerage firm Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD) showed that an entity named Emergent Fidelity Technologies Ltd., along with FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has taken a 56,273,469 shares, or 7.6% stake.
In the filing, Emergent Fidelity and Bankman-Fried said they acquired the shares on the belief that they represent an attractive investment and intend to hold the shares.
Further, the group does not plan on taking any action toward changing or influencing the control of the Issuer.
