Russia will supply fighter jets to Iran

Budrigannews.com – According to an interview with a legislator, Iran will receive a number of Russian Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets by March as part of a military order that also includes defense systems, missiles, and helicopters.
The number of aircraft ordered was not specified by Shahriar Heydari, who is a member of the Islamic Republic’s parliamentary commission for national security and foreign policy.
The majority of these weapons will soon enter the nation. For instance, “the Sukhoi 35 fighter jets will arrive in Iran at the beginning of the next year,” Heydari stated, referring to the year that begins on March 21 according to the Persian calendar.
Since its invasion of Ukraine, Iran has established closer ties with Russia and provided Moscow with military drones for its war, which has led to tighter sanctions and strong condemnation from the United States and the European Union.
Additionally, Heydari’s remarks come at a time when the Islamic Republic is drawing international criticism for its executions of protesters and deadly crackdown on anti-government protests.
