Russia will never defeat Ukraine-Biden

Budrigannews.com – After the Kremlin suspended a significant nuclear arms control treaty due to Western support for Kyiv, U.S. President Joe Biden stated on Tuesday that Ukraine “stands strong” a year after the Russian invasion and that Moscow would never defeat its neighbor.

Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed that Moscow would achieve its goals in Ukraine and accused the West of plotting to destroy Russia just hours before Biden spoke in Poland following a surprise visit to Ukraine.

Putin claimed that Russia was withdrawing from its participation in the 2010 New START treaty, its last significant arms control agreement with Washington, claiming that the United States was turning the war in Ukraine into a global conflict.

In what has grown to be the most significant confrontation with the West since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, Putin increased the stakes by announcing the deployment of new strategic systems for combat and threatening to resume nuclear tests.

While rejecting Moscow’s assertion that the West was planning an attack on Russia, Biden declared his “unwavering” support for Kyiv and his commitment to strengthening NATO’s eastern flank against Russia.

Biden stated at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, “One year ago, the world was bracing for the fall of Kyiv.” I can say this: The city of Kyiv stands steadfast, proud, tall, and most importantly, free.

“President Putin thought we would surrender when he ordered his tanks to roll into Ukraine. He was mistaken,” he stated.

Antony Blinken, Secretary of State for the United States, referred to Putin’s decision to withdraw from New START as “deeply unfortunate and irresponsible.” NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said it made the world a more hazardous spot, and encouraged Putin to reexamine.

The treaty, which was signed in 2010 by then-President Barack Obama of the United States and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev, limits the number of strategic nuclear warheads that each nation can deploy.

It allows each nation to physically inspect the other’s nuclear arsenal until 2026, but tensions over Ukraine had already halted inspections.

“Some people in Washington were considering breaking a moratorium on nuclear testing,” the Russian leader said without citing evidence. We will carry out tests if the US does so. Putin stated, “Nobody ought to have dangerous illusions that global strategic parity can be destroyed.”

“I signed a decree on the deployment of new ground-based strategic systems in combat a week ago.”

Putin made a reference to the Engels air base when he stated that Ukraine had attempted to strike a location deep within Russia where nuclear bombers are kept. Ukraine has followed a policy of not claiming any attacks on Russian soil in public.

In effect, Putin was saying that he could demolish the structure of nuclear arms control unless the West backs off in Ukraine, as he has repeatedly suggested over the past year that Russia could use a nuclear weapon if threatened.

Putin claimed that Russia was forced into the conflict as a result of NATO’s expansion to the east following the Cold War.

“The people of Ukraine have become hostages of the Kyiv regime and its Western rulers, who have effectively occupied this country politically, militarily, and economically.”

Both Kyiv and Western leaders, including Vice President Biden, who made a visit to the capital of Ukraine on Monday, reject that narrative as an erroneous justification for a land grab in a neighboring former Soviet republic that Putin refers to as an artificial state. They argue that Putin must be forced to forfeit his bet on invasion.

Even though Russia has lost three major battles in Ukraine, it still controls about a fifth of its neighbor. There have been tens of thousands of deaths among Ukrainian civilians and soldiers on both sides.

According to a senior aide to the president of Ukraine, Putin’s speech indicated that he had lost touch with reality.

Mykhailo Podolyak, a political adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, told Reuters that “he is in a completely different reality, where there is no opportunity to conduct a dialogue about justice and international law.” Podolyak was speaking to Reuters.

“Russia is in a coma. in the most dire circumstance. Russia’s situation will only get worse with everything it does next.”

Six people were killed when at least one Russian rocket struck a crowded street in the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson while Putin was speaking.

The attack left a pool of blood on the pavement next to a badly damaged bus stop, according to the military and city authorities of Ukraine. 12 other people were said to have been injured.

As Putin portrayed the West as the aggressor in Ukraine and Russia as not waging war on the people of Ukraine, local authorities reported that multiple rocket launchers hit Kherson. Russia didn’t say anything about the incident right away.

Despite the fact that missile and drone attacks have devastated cities across Ukraine and killed thousands of civilians, Moscow has denied intentionally targeting civilians.

The West has promised Kyiv military aid worth tens of billions of dollars.

Putin spoke for an hour and 45 minutes, promising that Moscow would achieve its goals in Ukraine and derail the NATO alliance led by the United States.

He stated, “They intend to turn a local conflict into a phase of global conflict.” Since we are discussing the existence of our nation in this instance, we will respond accordingly because this is exactly how we comprehend everything.
