Russia says U. S. trying to avoid involvement in Nord Stream explosions
Budrigannews.com – On Wednesday, the Russian embassy in the United States stated that Washington is attempting to minimize damaging information regarding the alleged involvement of its intelligence services in the explosions that destroyed the Nord Stream gas pipelines last year.
On Monday, Moscow was unsuccessful in convincing the United Nations Security Council to request an independent investigation into the September explosions that caused the Nord Stream pipelines connecting Russia and Germany to break and release gas into the Baltic Sea.
The Kremlin stated on Tuesday that it would continue to demand an international investigation after Russian officials reacted angrily.
The Russian consulate in the U.S. said in an explanation posted on its Wire informing stage that Washington is doing “all that could be within reach” to forestall “fair-minded endeavors” lay out conditions around the blasts.
“We consider this to be a conspicuous endeavor … to make light of data from trustworthy columnists that is harming for the US about the possible direct association of American knowledge benefits,” the consulate said in the proclamation posted in Russian.
Seymour Hersh, a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist, stated in a blog post in February that an unidentified source claimed that President Joe Biden had instructed U.S. navy divers to use explosives to destroy the pipelines.
Hersh’s report was deemed “utterly false and complete fiction” by the White House. The allegations were called “nonsense” by Norway.
