At a ceremony for the new commander of U.S. Strategic Command, which is in charge of managing the nuclear arsenal of the United States, Austin stated, “Russia is also modernizing and expanding its nuclear arsenal.”

Austin continued, “And the whole world has seen Putin engage in deeply irresponsible nuclear saber-rattling as the Kremlin continues its cruel and unprovoked war of choice against Ukraine.”
