In detail, Activision Blizzard is rumored to be building NFT-backed metaverse elements into the video games.
As tweeted by an insider named Ralph, American video game developer Infinity Ward has planned to personalize ACTV accounts by incorporating emblems, global calling cards, avatars, and statistics. This company initiated the plan following an overhaul in Call of Duty’s UX/UI (User Experience/ User Interface (NASDAQ:TILE)).
With the Overhaul in Call of Duty’s UX/UI, Infinity Ward plans to personalise ACTV Accounts: incorporating: Global Calling Cards & Emblems, Avatars and, Statistics.

The insider further added that NFT inclusion is reportedly being considered by Activision Blizzard. However, Activision Blizzard has not yet confirmed any claims or news regarding the new venture.
Furthermore, the insider has posted a follow-up tweet saying that since a few months ago, NFTs have been under review, and in consideration. “With EA’s immediate backlash against NFTs, it can totally fall through. MTX and Content structures are influenced by trends and predictions, NFTs just seem to be that at the moment”, he added.
To add, the community members have created speculations about how NFTs would be integrated into the game; with weapon skins, cards, attires, and modes of play.
