Romania seizes assets in Andrew Tate scandal case

Budrigannews.com – As part of a criminal investigation into alleged human trafficking that resulted in the arrest of polarizing internet personality Andrew Tate, Romanian authorities stated that they had seized goods and money worth 18 million lei (or $3.95 million).
According to a statement released late on Saturday, the National Agency for the Management of Seized Assets has taken control of 29 movable assets over the past week, including luxury automobiles and watches as well as various sums of cash in various currencies.
A reporter for Reuters saw several automobiles on Saturday, including a Rolls-Royce (OTC:), BMW and Mercedes-Benz are being transported to a storage location from Tate’s residence on the outskirts of Bucharest, the capital.
On December 29, Andrew Tate, his brother, and two Romanian women were arrested on charges of forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit six women. They have denied involvement.
The detained challenged their 30-day arrest warrant, but this week, the Bucharest court of appeals ruled that they should remain in police custody and rejected the challenge.
Andrew Tate, a former Big Brother contestant in the United Kingdom, became well-known for his hate speech and misogynistic remarks.
Despite the fact that his Twitter account reactivated in November following Elon Musk’s acquisition of the platform, his remarks resulted in his suspension from all major social media platforms.
Tate, who is British and American, has said that women are partly to blame for being raped and that men own them.
