Budrigannews.com – After Beijing’s zero-COVID protocols ended, Chinese hotels and restaurants are looking for employees as the services sector recovers, according to a survey by a leading recruiter. The survey revealed a surge in job openings in the hospitality industry.

According to a survey that was released on Friday by Zhaopin, one of the largest recruitment agencies in the county, job openings in the hotel and catering industries increased by 40% during the first six days of work following China’s Lunar New Year holiday.

Due to China’s bustling transportation and logistics sectors following its post-COVID reopening, job openings for passenger vehicle and freight truck drivers, as well as crew members for airplanes and trains, increased by 85.2% during the same time period.

Postings for workers in the manufacturing sector also increased by 42.2%, while openings in the tourism services industry increased by 58.9% as a result of the elimination of the zero-COVID policy and increased demand during the festival season.

From January 28 to February, the survey was taken. 2 in 38 significant cities, including Shenzhen, Beijing, and Shanghai.

According to the survey, overall job openings increased by 43.2%, 19.6%, and 9.2% year-over-year in Foshan, Guangzhou, and Dongguan cities in Guangdong province, a southern economic powerhouse.
