Renault and Nissan will assemble new models in India

Budrigannews.com – (OTC:) Nissan Renault SA and Motor Co. (OTC:) stated on Monday that they would make six new models in India with an investment of $600 million.
According to a statement, the Japanese and French automakers will work on the projects from their base in Chennai, making it an export hub.
They claimed that the six models—three from each manufacturer—will be built on shared platforms and exported. Four sports utility vehicles (SUVs) and two electric vehicles—the first EVs offered by Indian automakers—will make up the new models.
This past week, the automakers provided information regarding new joint projects in Europe, India, and Latin America as well as the redesigned alliance.
