Record sales of Rolls Royce in 2022
Budrigannews.com – The Rolls-Royce on Monday reported record sales for the year, despite luxury car prices of approximately $534,000 and a decline in Chinese demand, with orders lasting into 2023.
The British automaker, which was founded nearly 120 years ago as Rolls-Royce and is now owned by BMW of Germany, reported that it sold 6,021 vehicles in 2022, up from 5,586 in 2021, which was also a record year.
The Americas dominated Rolls-Royce’s sales, accounting for approximately 35% of total sales. “Single-digit drops” in sales were caused by coronavirus-related lockdowns in China, the automaker’s second-largest market.
However, CEO Torsten Müller-tvös stated in an online presentation that growth in other markets offset this decrease.
According to Müller-tvös, “Our order book stretches far into 2023 for all models.” Orders have not slowed down at all.”
Pre-orders for Rolls-Royce’s fully electric Spectre, which will go on sale at the end of 2023, exceeded all of its expectations, the company stated.
The CEO told reporters that the growth that was expected for 2023 happened despite the fact that Rolls-Royce stopped selling in Russia, which typically sold 250 to 300 units per year, after it invaded Ukraine in February.

According to Müller-tvös, customers’ orders had become “ever more imaginative, personal, and technically demanding” as a result of the luxury brand’s individualized approach.
