Putin and Chinese Xi to hold talks on Friday

“First of all, they will talk about bilateral relations between Russia and China,” Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson for the Kremlin, told reporters on Thursday.

Since European nations cut ties with Russia, Beijing has also increased its purchases of Russian oil and gas, and Moscow has publicly backed Xi’s position on Taiwan and accused the West of trying to start a fight over the status of the self-governing island that China claims as its own.
