Prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia is not expected-Foreign Ministry
Budrigannews.com – According to Russia’s Interfax news agency, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stated on Tuesday that he was aware of no new scheduled contacts with the United States regarding additional prisoner exchanges.
He was responding to remarks made by Jake Sullivan, the National Security Adviser of the United States, who stated to reporters on Monday that Washington anticipated an “enagement” with Moscow this week regarding the case of Paul Whelan, an American serving a 16-year espionage sentence in Russia.

Interfax cited Ryabkov as saying: ” I have no idea what they are planning. We have a department that deals with this, as the president has already stated. No communications regarding this matter are anticipated through the lines that I am aware of, as per my information.”
