Polestar teams up with Evie to offer $2000 free fast-charging in May

Electric vehicle maker, Polestar (PSNY) has teamed up with charging provider, Evie, to offer $2000 worth of fast charging with the purchase of an in-stock Polestar 2 in the month of May.

The deal began yesterday, May 4th, and is available to anyone looking to buy an in-stock Polestar 2 sedan in Standard or Long Range guise before 31 May.

The voucher will effectively power your EV for a year if you only charge at public locations – longer if you mix it with home charging.

“Not everyone can install a home charger when they buy an electric vehicle and nor do they need to,” said Evie CEO Chris Mills. “Our growing network enables drivers to have access to a national fast public charging network, using 100% clean energy,” Mills added.

Various other incentives are on offer for in-stock Polestar 2 models. The brand is offering a $3000 discount – labeled a rebate – for all in-stock models. Instead of the Evie charging voucher, Polestar is also offering free Zappi home wallbox installation including a Type 2 cable.

Shares of PSNY are up 0.66% in afternoon trading on Friday.
