Pepsi Releases Peeps-Flavored Soda Again

Budrigannews.com – This time around, finding Pepsi’s soda with a Peepsi flavor is easier than going on an Easter egg hunt.
In contrast to its debut two years ago, when only a few thousand of the sodas were given away in a contest, “Pepsi x Peeps” is now available for purchase at retailers all over the country for the first time. Following its “unforgettable debut” in 2021, when the soda “trended everywhere” and sold for hundreds of dollars on the resale market, Pepsi stated in a statement that its mass release was prompted by popular demand.
Pepsi and Just Born Quality Confections, the candy manufacturer behind Peeps, have collaborated on the project known as “Pepsi x Peeps.” The soda has the flavor of Pepsi mixed in with the Peeps’ “pillowy-soft and sweet” marshmallow flavor. For a limited time, you can purchase it in 20-ounce bottles and 7.5-ounce cans.
According to Todd Kaplan, vice president of marketing for Pepsi (PEP), “PEP approached Peeps about partnering for a spring-inspired flavor.” Customers place a high value on taste, he previously stated to CNN. They desire sweetness and an emotional connection to things. We wanted to get into Peeps’ own subculture.
Pepsi regularly introduces seasonal flavors to promote its brand. To celebrate the holidays, it has offered apple pie-flavored Pepsi drinks and hot chocolate in recent years. Pepsi is using marshmallow flavoring for the first time ever in the Peeps-flavored soda.
Just Born made the news last month that Bob Born, the “Father of Peeps,” had passed away at the age of 98. According to the company’s website, he used his engineering skills to “mechanize the marshmallow-forming process,” cutting the amount of time it took to make a Peeps package from 27 hours to just 6 minutes.
