Pakistan’s reserves have fallen below 7 billion
Budrigannews.com – According to a statement released on Thursday, the central bank of Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves decreased by $784 million to $6.7 billion on December 2.
The statement stated, “This decline is due to the payment of US $1,000 million against maturing Pakistan International Sukuk and some other external debt repayments.”
It stated that inflows, primarily $500 million from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, offset some debt repayments.
