NEW YORK (Reuters) – New York Attorney General Letitia James called on some of the biggest U.S. banks on Wednesday – JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM), Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), US Bancorp (NYSE:USB), and Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) & Co – to eliminate all overdraft fees in consumer accounts.
James said she called on the banks to “do the right thing and remove overdraft fees,” which hurt low-income New Yorkers, according to a statement from her office.
