Mattel Inc recalls sleepers “Rock n’ Play” due to mass death of babies

Budrigannews.com – The Mattel Corporation Monday, Fisher-Price reissued the recall of approximately 4.7 million “Rock ‘n Play” sleepers in response to at least eight additional deaths that occurred following the initial recall in 2019.

The product went on sale in 2009, but a decade later, more than 30 infant deaths led to its first recall.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) of the United States reported on Monday that infant sleepers have been the cause of approximately 100 deaths.

According to the CPSC, Fisher-Price has been unable to confirm whether the product was a “Rock ‘n Play” sleeper or the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
