Mass layoffs in Amazon will be until the end of 2023
Budrigannews.com – Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:) said there will be more role cuts as the annual planning process is extended into next year and leaders continue to coordinate.
“These decisions will be shared with affected employees and organizations early in 2023,” Andy Jassy, who became the company’s chief executive in 2021, wrote in a letter to Amazon employees.
Jassy added that the company was in the middle of an annual operating plan review that was making decisions about what to change in each business.
Amazon has not yet determined how many other roles will be affected by the film.
The online retailer laid off some employees in the device group on Wednesday, and a person familiar with the matter said it was targeting about 10,000 job cuts, including in the retail sector and human resources.
