Maersk appoints new CEO
Budrigannews.com – Vincent Clerc, who has been employed by A.P. Moller-Maersk for 25 years, was announced on Monday as the new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Soren Skou as of January 1.
In a statement, board chair Robert Uggla said, “The strong tail winds that benefited the supply chain industries during the pandemic are coming to an end.”

He added, “The board believes Vincent holds the right experience and capabilities as CEO to pursue and oversee Maersk’s strategic and organizational development in the coming years, with an increasingly challenging outlook.”
Clerc, a veteran of the company, currently leads the Ocean & Logistics division.
The group’s transformation from a conglomerate to an integrated logistics company was overseen by Skou, who has held the position since 2016.
