Lawyer Salah Hamouri to be deported to France from Israel
Budrigannews.com – Israel ousted French-Palestinian common liberties legal counselor Salah Hamouri on Sunday, blaming him for security offenses against the territory of Israel, the Israeli inside service said in a proclamation.
Early on Sunday morning, Hamouri was escorted to the airport, where he boarded a flight to France with his campaign, claiming that he had no legal options.
On December 1, Hamouri, 37, a Jerusalem resident without Israeli citizenship, had his residency status revoked on the grounds that he was involved in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which Israel and its allies in the West regard as a terrorist organization.
According to a statement issued by the interior ministry, “he organized, inspired, and planned to commit terror attacks on his own and for the organization against citizens and well-known Israelis” throughout his life.
The deportation was referred to as a “war crime” and a violation of international law in a statement released by the Hamouri campaign.
“These principles and the cause of his people follow a Palestinian wherever he goes: Hamouri stated in a statement, “his homeland carried with him to wherever he ends up.”
Hamouri was detained by Israel on March 7 under administrative detention without charge until December 1, when Israel said it would deport him and revoke his residency.
After being accused of attempting to assassinate Sephardi rabbi Ovadia Yossef, founder of the ultra-Orthodox Shas party, he was detained by Israel between 2005 and 2011, but he has always maintained his innocence.

As part of an exchange of Palestinian prisoners, Hamouri was freed in December 2011 in exchange for Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier who was freed in October 2011 after being held captive by Hamas for five years in the Gaza Strip.
