KuCoin Surpasses 20M Users, First KuCoin Futures Global Team Battle Goes Live

Global cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin will celebrate surpassing 20 million registered users in its platform through its First KuCoin Futures Global Team Battle that just went live.
According to KuCoin’s 2022 H1 Review, it attracted over 9.75 million new registrants from January to June — a record-high for KuCoin. The spike added to the number of the exchange’s user base, bringing the total to over 20 million.
The team said that the achieved number is double the number it recorded in December 2021. The data available on KuCoin’s website suggests that the exchange’s rapid global expansion contributed to the growth of its users.
KuCoin’s whopping 219% user base increase is attributed to the Asian expansion in the first half of 2022. This represents a 659% year-on-year growth in the continent. Meanwhile, Latin America, MENA, and Europe showed 216%, 152%, and 142% new user registrations on a year-on-year basis, respectively.
KuCoin’s new product launches, more trading pairs, and language support updates were also factors in this development.
In addition, the cryptocurrency exchange has announced that the First KuCoin Futures Global Team Battle is already underway.
This new Futures campaign, which starts from July 14 to July 31, will allow users “to create or join a team and trade any contract to accumulate team trading volume.” Participants will ultimately get the chance to share a 1 million USDT prize pool. Furthermore, KuCoin will hand out prizes, exclusive leader bonuses, and newbie airdrops (up to 100 USDT in bonuses for each new user) to participants.

Earlier this year, KuCoin raised over $150 million in investments through a pre-Series B round, bringing total investments to $170 million, with Round A combined at a total valuation of $10 billion. The exchange also bagged The Ascent’s Best Crypto App for enthusiasts award this year.
