Budrigannews.com – This week, a supervisor at a Walmart in Chesapeake, Virginia, shot and killed six of his coworkers before turning the gun on himself. In a rambling note on his phone, he lashed out at the other employees he felt had mocked and betrayed him.
The note was made public by the city of Chesapeake on Friday as part of an update on its investigation into the reason why the suspect, who has been identified as 31-year-old Andre Bing, opened fire on workers gathered in a break room before their overnight shift on Tuesday at a late hour.
Witnesses and police stated that Bing, who was the shift’s team leader, was armed with a handgun when he shot some but not all of the employees gathered in the break room, raising the possibility that he had targeted specific individuals.
According to the update from Chesapeake, a city of 251,000 people located approximately 200 miles (320 kilometers) south of Washington, investigators discovered ammunition and a variety of items related to the 9mm handgun, including a receipt, during a search of his home.
“On the morning of Tuesday, November 22, the gun was purchased legally from a local store.In a statement released on Friday, the city stated, “He had no criminal history.”
Bing mentioned in his note that he had failed at work for unknown reasons and that he had felt insulted by coworkers who mocked him.He stated that his phone “was giving the worst feeling imaginable” and that he believed it had been hacked.
In his writing, he stated, “The associates gave me evil twisted grins, mocked me, and celebrated my downfall the last day.”Because of this, they share my fate.
In the document titled “death note,” Bing also wrote that he would spare a person whose name was withheld because she held a special place in his heart, citing the cancer death of his own mother.
When questioned about Bing’s note, Walmart issued the following statement: There is no justification for killing innocent people.Our focus remains on the grieving families and our associates’ support during this trying time.”
Notwithstanding the seven dead, including Bing, two individuals are being treated in region emergency clinics.The city stated that one is in critical condition and the other is improving.
