Juniper should get rid Dutch business-EU
Budrigannews.com – The European Commission has requested that German gas shipper Uniper strip its Dutch business to get administrative endorsement for a salvage bargain, German everyday Handelsblatt revealed, refering to a few group acquainted with the matter.
Under merger control regulations, the European Commission has set a December 16 deadline to decide whether to approve Germany’s bailout of Uniper, its largest gas trader that nearly went bankrupt when Russia stopped providing the fuel.

The Maasvlakte MPP 3 hard coal-fired power plant, Uniper’s main activity in the Netherlands, has a capacity of 1.07 gigawatts (GW). Additionally, it has a number of smaller gas-fired plants with a combined capacity of 534 MW there.
At an extraordinary shareholder meeting on December 19, Uniper’s shareholders are expected to vote on the largest bailout ever granted in Germany.
