Japan June household spending falls 1.4% year on year

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese consumer spending fell more than expected in June, government data showed on Tuesday.
Consumer spending contracted 1.4% in June from a year earlier, worse than the median market forecast for a 0.9% decline.
On a seasonally adjusted, month-on-month basis, spending increased 0.1% versus an estimated 0.2% uptick.
