IVECO won the tender for 2 billion euros
Budrigannews.com – According to a statement issued on Friday by the defense minister of Italy, a consortium consisting of commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco and the defense group Leonardo has received an order to supply the Brazilian army with 220 armored vehicles valued at up to $2.08 billion.
Guido Crosetto said in a statement, “This demonstrates the excellence of Italian industry in the world and excellent teamwork.”
Later on Friday, CIO, a partnership between Leonardo and Iveco, issued a separate statement announcing that it had won the contract to supply eight-wheel-drive Centauro II armoured vehicles with 120 mm armament.
