Italian consumer price index revised up
Budrigannews.com – Italian EU-harmonised consumer prices (HICP) increased by 0.7 percent month-over-month in November and 12.6 percent year-over-year, according to preliminary data revised on Friday by the official statistics agency ISTAT.
A 0.6% month-over-month increase and a 12.5% year-over-year increase were predicted by the preliminary estimate.
The annual rate of 12.6% in November was the same as in October.
The most important domestic price index, NIC (NASDAQ:), remained unchanged from the 11.8% annual increase in October, rising 0.5 percent month-over-month and 11.8% annually.
On the HICP index in November, core inflation (excluding fresh food and energy) was running at 6.1% year-over-year, up from 5.7% the previous month.
