Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.97%
Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.97%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:KEN), which rose 1.25% or 180.00 points to trade at 14,620.00 at the close. Meanwhile, OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) added 1.12% or 44.00 points to end at 3,984.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 0.53% or 17.00 points to 3,240.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG), which fell 2.55% or 218.00 points to trade at 8,325.00 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 2.38% or 80.00 points to end at 3,283.00 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) was down 2.35% or 127.00 points to 5,266.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 353 to 133 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) rose to all time highs; rising 1.12% or 44.00 to 3,984.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.04% or 0.94 to $89.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.01% or 0.98 to hit $95.74 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.73% or 12.90 to trade at $1,750.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.73% to 3.29, while EUR/ILS fell 0.33% to 3.27.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.70% at 108.85.
