Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.76% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE), which rose 2.91% or 157.00 points to trade at 5,555.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE:ENRG) added 2.87% or 33.00 points to end at 1,181.00 and Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) was up 2.86% or 173.00 points to 6,222.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which fell 5.09% or 9,950.00 points to trade at 185,550.00 at the close. Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:KEN) declined 4.55% or 870.00 points to end at 18,250.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was down 4.40% or 170.00 points to 3,692.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 307 to 191 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 5.64% or 5.76 to $96.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 5.58% or 5.92 to hit $100.23 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 2.01% or 38.90 to trade at $1,895.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.67% to 3.29, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.11% to 3.53.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 101.77.
