Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.54% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which rose 3.00% or 780.00 points to trade at 26,780.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) added 1.78% or 3,300.00 points to end at 188,300.00 and Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:KEN) was up 1.50% or 280.00 points to 18,980.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Strauss Group (TASE:STRS), which fell 4.28% or 398.00 points to trade at 8,902.00 at the close. Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) declined 3.91% or 290.00 points to end at 7,136.00 and Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) was down 3.75% or 235.00 points to 6,027.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 388 to 112 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.07% or 1.09 to $100.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.79% or 0.83 to hit $103.78 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 15.35 to trade at $1,888.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.44% to 3.31, while EUR/ILS fell 0.24% to 3.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 102.91.
