Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.49%
Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Real Estate and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which rose 1.63% or 47.00 points to trade at 2,927.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) added 1.35% or 49.00 points to end at 3,670.00 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) was up 1.32% or 7.00 points to 539.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE), which fell 3.25% or 153.00 points to trade at 4,551.00 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) declined 2.53% or 4,060.00 points to end at 156,240.00 and OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) was down 2.29% or 85.00 points to 3,632.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 279 to 206 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.54% or 1.66 to $109.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.48% or 1.62 to hit $110.72 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 4.05 to trade at $1,826.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.18% to 3.41, while EUR/ILS rose 0.60% to 3.62.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 103.56.
