Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.71%
Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.71% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which rose 5.43% or 86.00 points to trade at 1,670.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) added 5.25% or 194.00 points to end at 3,891.00 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was up 5.19% or 41.70 points to 845.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which fell 2.59% or 410.00 points to trade at 15,400.00 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) declined 1.76% or 530.00 points to end at 29,600.00 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) was down 1.28% or 47.00 points to 3,636.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 341 to 146 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.55% or 0.50 to $91.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.37% or 0.36 to hit $96.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 2.35 to trade at $1,814.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 1.57% to 3.26, while EUR/ILS fell 0.50% to 3.37.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.26% at 104.92.
