Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL), which rose 9.63% or 347.00 points to trade at 3,949.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) added 8.25% or 15,470.00 points to end at 203,070.00 and Bank Hapoalim (TASE:POLI) was up 3.57% or 104.00 points to 3,021.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:LPSN), which fell 2.94% or 182.00 points to trade at 6,007.00 at the close. Energix (TASE:ENRG) declined 2.72% or 27.80 points to end at 994.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was down 2.72% or 97.00 points to 3,471.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 273 to 222 and 64 ended unchanged.
Shares in Energix (TASE:ENRG) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.72% or 27.80 to 994.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 5.92% or 5.91 to $105.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 5.09% or 5.22 to hit $107.68 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 9.95 to trade at $1,850.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.47% to 3.44, while EUR/ILS fell 0.49% to 3.62.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 103.85.
