Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.92%
Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.92%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF), which rose 5.96% or 650.00 points to trade at 11,550.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) added 3.22% or 2,170.00 points to end at 69,640.00 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) was up 3.03% or 57.00 points to 1,937.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 4.59% or 48.00 points to trade at 998.00 at the close. Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) declined 2.91% or 235.00 points to end at 7,831.00 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was down 2.20% or 4,100.00 points to 182,000.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 331 to 158 and 40 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.23% or 1.41 to $116.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.29% or 1.49 to hit $117.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 3.15 to trade at $1,851.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.97% to 3.35, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.11% to 3.57.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.85% at 102.63.
