Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.68%
Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.68% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 5.57% or 168.00 points to trade at 3,184.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:KEN) added 4.77% or 660.00 points to end at 14,500.00 and OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) was up 3.99% or 149.00 points to 3,879.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which fell 8.31% or 399.00 points to trade at 4,400.00 at the close. Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) declined 2.13% or 195.00 points to end at 8,955.00 and Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN) was down 1.50% or 24.00 points to 1,575.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 265 to 219 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 8.31% or 399.00 to 4,400.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.16% or 0.16 to $97.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.46% or 0.47 to hit $102.14 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.74% or 29.85 to trade at $1,748.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.00% to 3.41, while EUR/ILS fell 0.54% to 3.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 106.50.
