Industrial production in Germany fell in October
Budrigannews.com – According to official data released on Wednesday, German industrial production in October decreased less than anticipated. This decrease was, in part, caused by a decrease in production in energy-intensive industrial sectors.
According to the Federal Statistical Office, industrial output decreased by 1% from the previous month.
Analysts had predicted a 0.6% decrease in a Reuters poll.
The office increased its figure for September from 0.6% to 1.1%.
In contrast to the industry as a whole, energy-intensive industrial branches saw a 3.6% decrease in October production.
