Budrigannews.com – Republicans are trying to pick a speaker after winning a small majority of seats in the House of Representatives in the midterm elections in November.
The speaker of the House, who follows the vice president in the presidential succession, leads the chamber and sets the political tone and legislative agenda.

However, given that they aren’t convinced he is committed to advancing their legislative goals, it’s unclear what McCarthy could do to win over some of his opponents.
