TEGUCIGALPA (Reuters) – Honduras President Xiomara Castro accused the U.S. of interfering in Honduran politics on Tuesday, adding that she ordered her foreign minister to “denounce” an extradition treaty with the country.
“The interference and interventionism of the United States, as well as its intention to direct the politics of Honduras through its embassy and other representatives, is intolerable,” she said in a post on social media.
