GOAT Gaming to launch AlphaGOATs — Everyone will be ‘their own guild’
Gamers could soon be making money without barely lifting a finger when AI-powered Telegram gaming network GOAT Gaming drops its AI agents next month.
The “AlphaGOATs” will play games for you, bet on prediction markets, and potentially earn crypto for you — but hey, maybe don’t quit your day job just yet.
Launching Feb. 6, AlphaGOATs will be able to compete in tournaments across mini-games in the GOAT Gaming ecosystem, which has over 5 million active players.

“It is almost like being in Rome and owning a stable of gladiators,” Mighty Bear Games CEO Simon Davis tells Web3 Gamer.
He says a variety of different games are coming to the GOAT ecosystem, explicitly made for AlphaGOATs to play independently.
“For example, one of them is where two players try and kill each other with rocket launchers; it is very over the top and very funny,” he says.
If your AlphaGOAT turns into a “top performer,” their matches will get live-streamed, and you’ll earn rewards based on how popular the stream gets — paid in GOAT’s cryptocurrency token, which is dropping sometime in Q1 2025.
Davis says there’s also a “friends with benefits” affiliate scheme. If your agent promotes affiliate links, anyone who joins GOAT Gaming through the link will earn you some crypto too.
“Basically it enables everyone to be their own guild,” Davis says.
Retail investors will approach gaming NFTs differently this bull run
Balance.fun co-founder Norris Wang says that investors will approach NFT’s differently to the 2021 bull run, which felt more like a “gotta catch ’em all” Pokémon approach.
“To be honest, user enthusiasm for NFTs in Web3 games is declining,” the blockchain gaming platform executive tells Web3 Gamer.
Wang believes the speculative era is behind us, and gaming NFTs “must return to their origins” and be tied to characters in enjoyable games.
“Game users must truly like the game, and then they will buy the NFT, just like you like a certain character in Genshin Impact and want to spend a lot of money to draw cards,” he says.
“If this character is an NFT, its ownership is truly given to the user. This is the future of game NFTs.”
One NFT collection that’s been getting a lot of hype recently is Parallel Avatars. It’s a set of handcrafted AI agents that will be usable in the highly anticipated AI-survival game Parallel Colony set for release later this year.
The current floor price for one is 0.66 Ether (ETH), or about $2,190 USD.

Despite green shoots, only time will tell if NFTs make a genuine comeback this year. In 2024, the market had its worst year for trading volume and sales since 2020, hit hard by volatility and rising token prices, according to DappRadar.
Wang is keeping an eye on two major Web3 gaming trends for 2025: how AI will be used in gaming and the value of node sales (a way to raise capital is by selling blockchain nodes to the community) in gaming and SocialFi projects.

He believes that node sales are not just a “gimmick and a fundraising ploy,” but that they are the new way to build a healthy community.
He also thinks the interaction between AIs and other AIs, as well as AIs and humans, will be “the future of mainstream games.”

The Telegram game craze is still going fairly strong, and now the classic mobile hit Flappy Bird is back — as a crypto play-to-earn game.
If you have never played Flappy Bird, you have probably still come across some variation of the game where you control an animal flying between green bars trying not to hit them while collecting eggs along the way.
You can level up and earn points, and it is a fun and addictive game that will keep you hooked.
It’s one of those games where you need a few warm-up attempts before you really get into it, but once you’re in the zone, it’s pretty fun. If you’re into games like Angry Birds and Cube Runner, you’ll probably enjoy this one too.
The most annoying thing for me in the game is the tiny lag between tapping the screen and the bird actually moving. I tend to double-tap before the first one registers, so my scores aren’t that great (as you can see on the right).
Overall, the game isn’t anything mind-blowing, but it’s super addictive, easy to play, and definitely tests your patience. Oh, and a strong warning — it might make you pull your hair out when you keep hitting those green bars.
The game’s currently in “Flap-a-TON” mode, and playing now will put you in the running for the FLAP crypto token airdrop when it launches sometime in 2025.
So, no crypto for your time just yet, but fingers crossed that the project actually delivers on that token like they’re saying it will.
