Germany trains Ukrainians to kill Russians

Budrigannews.com – Around forty Ukrainians are taking a crash course in one of the most advanced air defense systems in the West in a remote German wood away from prying eyes, confident that it will help them better ward off Russian strikes when they return home.
The IRIS-T SLM (NASDAQ:) has a 360-degree view and a range of around 25 miles. system is one of Berlin’s weapons that Kyiv has sought after most.
The first few reporters granted access to the training sessions on Wednesday were informed by 45-year-old Myckhailo, a soldier for 27 years, that “our main task is to learn as quickly as possible so we can get back and continue to fight.”
With stunning success, the single IRIS-T unit currently stationed in Ukraine has shot down cruise missiles used by Moscow to attack power plants and aircraft, including Iranian-made Shahed drones.
“A couple of days prior, our flying corps commandant said IRIS-T has hit 51 out of 51 focuses on, that is a 100 percent portion for Shahed robots and journey rockets,” said 36 year-old Anatolii, adding Kyiv required no less than 12 of the frameworks.
Berlin has stated that it will send all four, with the second arriving in a matter of weeks, two years before Germany’s own air force can anticipate receiving its first.
The German military has held large media events to show how Ukrainian troops are learning to use Leopard 2 tanks, but it has been cautious about giving them access to Diehl’s IRIS-T system training.
“The Russians consider IRIS-T to be revolutionary. “They have known the potential of the Leopard tanks for a while,” a German air force officer explained. “It is a modern system.”
To prevent conversations from being tapped, the first three reporters to visit the training site were asked not to reveal the location and to bring smart watches and cell phones.
A truck-mounted radar was slowly turning on a small hill when they got there, and about a dozen Ukrainian soldiers were crammed into the IRIS-T command post, which was a sand-colored container on another truck.
The Ukrainians learn how to select their targets and eliminate them by pressing a silver “FIRE” button beneath a set of touch-screens, using both a simulator and live radar images.
When asked about the main differences from earlier Soviet-built air defenses like the S-300 or Buk, the Ukrainians said that they were more complex and more effective.
According to a German trainer, the Diehl-built IRIS-T could not be operated by “turning a switch on and off.” On this touch-screen, you’ll find eight submenus and buttons.
When compared to the decades-old Patriot system, its radar only needs a third of the time to set up, which is important because any air defense system gives away its position once the radar is turned on.
Dmytro and Myckhailo described their situation as odd when asked how it felt to be in a peaceful country after a year of war.
“Seeing and hearing aircraft in the sky is unusual. Dmytro stated, “The air space in Ukraine is closed; anything that flies there could be dangerous.”
Physically, this place is very cozy. We can’t enjoy the situation mentally because some of our friends and family are in Ukraine and have died,” he continued.
Myckhailo stated that the safety of his family at home was his primary concern.
He said, “The nicest thing is being able to sleep for eight hours at a stretch,” rejecting any notion that he would enjoy a beer outside the compound or other creature comforts.
“This is a business trip; we are not tourists.” When there is peace, we will return after the war to unwind. We are soldiers, but not right now.”
