Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Retail, Technology and Transportation & Logistics sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 1.97%, while the MDAX index gained 3.53%, and the TecDAX index gained 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe), which rose 7.23% or 1.64 points to trade at 24.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p) added 6.51% or 3.90 points to end at 63.82 and Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:MBGn) was up 6.38% or 3.23 points to 53.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG), which fell 1.95% or 0.96 points to trade at 48.38 at the close. Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:BEIG) declined 1.39% or 1.40 points to end at 99.30 and Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G) was down 1.19% or 1.30 points to 108.30.
The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which rose 13.51% to 38.82, Uniper SE (ETR:UN01) which was up 9.15% to settle at 10.86 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:TKAG) which gained 7.25% to close at 5.19.
The worst performers were Software AG (ETR:SOWGn) which was down 1.61% to 28.20 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which lost 0.98% to settle at 60.52 and Vantage Towers AG (ETR:VTWRn) which was up 0.29% to 27.62 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:VBKG) which rose 7.16% to 49.98, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was up 5.95% to settle at 23.15 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which gained 5.88% to close at 43.94.
The worst performers were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) which was down 1.95% to 48.38 in late trade, Software AG (ETR:SOWGn) which lost 1.61% to settle at 28.20 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which was down 0.98% to 60.52 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 535 to 159 and 72 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 4.71% to 29.73.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.21% or 3.65 to $1,740.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 5.41% or 5.33 to hit $103.86 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 4.95% or 4.98 to trade at $105.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.02, while EUR/GBP fell 0.93% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 106.99.
