Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.59% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index declined 0.53%, and the index lost 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the were Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:), which rose 6.39% or 1.69 points to trade at 28.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens AG Class N (ETR:) added 1.98% or 2.94 points to end at 151.40 and Allianz SE VNA O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.78% or 3.75 points to 214.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.76% or 0.66 points to trade at 36.74 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:) declined 1.37% or 0.29 points to end at 20.83 and SAP SE (ETR:) was down 1.27% or 1.62 points to 126.38.
The top performers on the MDAX were K&S AG (ETR:) which rose 3.36% to 17.99, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.22% to settle at 23.97 and Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.19% to close at 140.20.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was down 7.13% to 22.29 in late trade, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which lost 5.21% to settle at 40.45 and Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was down 2.99% to 9.87 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.22% to 23.97, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.00% to settle at 31.13 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which gained 1.75% to close at 324.90.
The worst performers were Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was down 3.26% to 72.60 in late trade, CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.11% to settle at 46.80 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 2.93% to 30.48 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 351 to 306 and 85 ended unchanged.
Shares in Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.00% or 0.61 to 31.13.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.02% to 15.48.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.48% or 9.55 to $1,971.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.40% or 0.30 to hit $75.59 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.15% or 0.12 to trade at $79.58 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.66% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 100.63.
