Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.48%, while the index lost 0.54%, and the index lost 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:), which rose 3.99% or 0.44 points to trade at 11.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) added 2.73% or 8.10 points to end at 305.10 and Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) was up 2.47% or 0.28 points to 11.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:), which fell 4.13% or 0.84 points to trade at 19.38 at the close. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) declined 3.14% or 10.40 points to end at 320.80 and Adidas AG (ETR:) was down 3.01% or 5.40 points to 173.76.
The top performers on the MDAX were Siltronic AG (ETR:) which rose 3.44% to 88.60, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was up 2.06% to settle at 57.00 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which gained 1.90% to close at 25.76.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 18.30% to 17.50 in late trade, Puma SE (ETR:) which lost 5.89% to settle at 46.66 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 2.96% to 34.45 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Siltronic AG (ETR:) which rose 3.44% to 88.60, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.85% to settle at 34.28 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which gained 2.06% to close at 57.00.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 18.30% to 17.50 in late trade, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.14% to settle at 320.80 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 2.96% to 34.45 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 375 to 226 and 39 ended unchanged.
Shares in Zalando SE (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.13% or 0.84 to 19.38. Shares in Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; rising 2.73% or 8.10 to 305.10.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 5.20% to 14.58.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.43% or 8.70 to $2,051.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.80% or 1.31 to hit $71.39 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.84% or 1.44 to trade at $76.81 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 102.07.
