Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.46%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.46%, while the index fell 0.24%, and the index gained 0.64%.

The best performers of the session on the were Covestro AG (ETR:), which rose 3.80% or 1.77 points to trade at 48.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) added 1.81% or 4.70 points to end at 264.80 and SAP SE (ETR:) was up 1.55% or 1.94 points to 127.14 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:), which fell 1.72% or 0.49 points to trade at 27.94 at the close. Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) declined 1.36% or 0.14 points to end at 10.15 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.90% or 0.27 points to 29.87.

The top performers on the MDAX were Bechtle AG (ETR:) which rose 4.45% to 44.62, Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.49% to settle at 59.60 and Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which gained 2.25% to close at 117.90.

The worst performers were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was down 6.15% to 9.77 in late trade, Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:) which lost 5.09% to settle at 45.15 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.17% to 11.45 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Bechtle AG (ETR:) which rose 4.45% to 44.62, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was up 4.02% to settle at 7.34 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which gained 3.46% to close at 44.61.

The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 6.87% to 75.20 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.17% to settle at 11.45 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 1.83% to 93.10 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 350 to 310 and 82 ended unchanged.

Shares in Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.49% or 1.45 to 59.60. Shares in Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; up 2.25% or 2.60 to 117.90. Shares in Nagarro SE (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.87% or 5.55 to 75.20. Shares in Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.83% or 1.74 to 93.10.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.75% to 17.32.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.12% or 2.25 to $1,944.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.93% or 0.77 to hit $82.42 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.79% or 0.69 to trade at $86.12 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 102.86.
